There are a number of majestic and tranquil Bulgarian and Byzantine churches here, built with the most intricate architecture.  There are beautiful houses that date back to the 19th century. Varna is a beautiful little town that has been around for over 2000 years. Varna is considered by many to be the birthplace of Bulgarian culture and heritage.

Take a mud bath at Lake Pomorie!

The mud at the banks of Lake Pomorie are said to have great mystic powers and a mud bath here is said to wash out disease, sadness and even depression. Lake Pomorie is at a 30-minute drive from Sunny Beach. After the mud bath at Lake Pamorie, you can have a relaxing time at one of the expensive spas around here.

Be a Nature Photographer at the Strandja Mountains!

The Strandja Mountains is an ancient forest which is home to a host of wild animals, such as wild cats, gheckos and birds such as the golden eagle. You will enjoy exploring the many natural caves around here and drinking the pure water from the crystal clear mineral springs. Just be sure to take your best camera with you when you gp there and start snapping!
