Bulgaria is a major holiday destination for the UK and Ireland. Every year the number of chartered flights from Ireland and the UK increase and this is due to a hike in popularity for Bulgarian holidays.
Families with young children planning on holidaying in Bulgaria will research things to do before they travel so we are going to source the various water parks in Bulgaria to give you an insight into some of the attractions available.
One of the main attractions for families and young people are the water parks in various locations throughout the black sea coast.
A popular waterpark located between Burgas airport and Sunny Beach is the Aqua Paradise Nessebar. Aqua Paradise is seasonal and opens from May – September. In 2009 they extended the perimeter making the total area of the park 46 000 square meters. There are over 40 attractions within the park including the children’s castle, the lazy river and the butterfly swimming pool. For the adrenaline junkies there are more daring attractions such as the diving boards and the tsunami slide. There is live entertainment on stage daily and there are food and drink condiments located throughout the park. The park is fully equipped with an electronic system which allows each person to store their cash on a water proof watch, this proves very beneficial for those wanting a drink from the swim up bar – they have the money to pay attached to their wrist!
In 2016 there is a new water park opening called Sunset Resort Water Park. This water park is set to be one of the biggest in Bulgaria and is only a few minutes from the only Irish hotel in Sarafovo, Bulgaria. The Clara Hotel in Bulgaria is set in the beautiful village of Sarafovo. This village is ideal as it is only a few minutes from the airport and the beach. The aeroplanes come in over the city and therefore do not disrupt anyone during their relaxing stay in this family friendly hotel Bulgaria.
The Clara Hotel Bulgaria offers Irish food and drink throughout the summer months and also has Irish bands and musicians lined up to entertain holiday makers in 2016.
